Finally!
My collectors and dealers have been asking me for years if I had a catalog of my prints available online. So, being the quick mover that I am, several years later, I finally finished building a shopping cart to catalog my fine art prints, and make them easy to buy online.
I know I could have paid somebody to do it faster, but I like learning new things in between watching paint dry.
After researching e-commerce shopping carts for months, and test driving a few, I decided on Zencart. It’s open source, (meaning free), powerful, and customizable. It’s also php coded, an important factor in my decision. Many of the online carts are tabled base, essentially making data inside the tables invisible to search engines.
I’m still adding descriptions to the prints and fine tuning the cart, meanwhile, check it out and let me know what you think. I’d like to hear your comments and suggestions. Or give me a shout if you want to set one up for yourself.
Oh yeah, the cart works, you can really buy the prints too.
